2004 Silver NOMMA Award, Unusual Ornamental Fabrication Category

The main frames are roll formed corten wide flange beams and channels. The guardrails feature hand forged scrolls, rays, and center ornaments.  The Bridge is curved (elevation view) and has a symmetrical serpentine look (plan view). The approaches are flared out to welcome pedestrians in. As they walk up the curved decking the bridges again fan out to provide additional space to relax and enjoy the artwork and views. It  is 40 ft. long and has a multi layered corten roof with a continuously changing slope. The roof supports and rail panels were forged and textured on the power hammer to match the natural surroundings. The finish is rust. Approx. labor time: 1,500 hrs. Designed by the fabricator (Bob Resch).
